Challenging Parkland course situated in the beautiful town of Stratford upon Avon. A must play!
The Welcombe Golf Course is situated in the beautiful riverside town of Stratford upon Avon, the home of the famous play-write William Shakespeare. The course is a par 70 18 hole course which is 6,288 yards in length. It’s a challenging but fun parkland course and suits all players from beginner to scratch. With some beautiful views of countryside and the hotel grounds this course is a must play. Some of the holes are uphill so for those that struggle with walking a cart is recommended. It has onsite parking, carts for hire, club house that serves food, drink along with changing facilities and a pro shop. There are practice facilities that include a putting green and separate chipping green with bunker. It does have an outdoor driving range (only 4 bays are undercover) The only downside I have are that the range mats are in very poor condition and need to be replaced badly. If you’re looking for a weekend away, a gold society day or just a day out then you have to play the Welcombe.
