To achieve the effect required, Aynsley created an entirely new piece which features on the inside, Old Tom Morris and 6 heads of golfers who made St Andrews their own; and on the outside 6 scenes of St Andrews 100 years ago.
Painted in sepia and gold, this piece is one of the hardest pieces to make. At Aynsley only the most experienced litho workers have the experience to match up all the images on this magnificent 9" bowl.
Aynsley China is one of the oldest fine bone china manufacturers in the world. Established in 1775, in Stoke on Trent, England, Aynsley have produced fine bone china for Queen Victoria, Queen Elizabeth ll and many heads of state.
Skill handed down through generations, have enabled our unique St Andrews Collection to be created, and the painstaking recreation of scenes taken from Bill Waugh's work over the past 17 years.
All pieces are made from fine bone china, individually numbered, hand finished in 22 carat gold and signed by Bill Waugh. Each comes in its own presentation box with an authentication certificate, again individually numbered and signed.
